Handy to Have for a Quote

  • Both addresses, and which floor you’re on at each
  • Anything bulky or heavy — a piano, a safe, outsized furniture
  • Any building COI, booked freight elevator, or gate code
  • The date you’re after and how far it can bend

A little rain is no reason to put it off — floor runners, wrap on every piece, and padded ramps keep a wet December move running as clean as a dry one in August.

01 Common questions
Is the crew on the truck actually your own staff?
All of them, yes. TicTac Relocation is owner-run in Seattle and fully licensed, bonded, and insured — a Washington UTC permit covers local work and US DOT and MC authority the interstate side — and the trucks and uniformed crew are all ours.
What does a move around Seattle cost?
A two-mover truck runs $149 an hour and a three-mover crew $209, each with a one-hour minimum — and the figure is in your hands well ahead of move day.
How do you land on a single flat price?
We take it space by space, weighing the square footage against how awkward the access is, and land on one number. Once the crew starts, it holds and never climbs.
How do I actually hold a move date?
Put down a $100 deposit and the day is yours; it's credited back in full on the final bill. The quote costs nothing.
Do you carry the right license and insurance?
We do — a Washington UTC permit covers local work and US DOT plus MC authority covers interstate, and only our own payroll crew ever lays a hand on your things.
Can you move through Seattle's rain without a hitch?
Year-round. Floor runners, wrap on every piece, and padded ramps mean a wet December move goes off as cleanly as a dry one in August.
Which areas do you cover?
Seattle, King County, and the Puget Sound suburbs — Ballard and West Seattle out to Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Renton, Kent, and up to Everett.
Does anyone else's load ride with mine on a long-distance move?
Never. What you own travels by itself on one of our trucks, no shared trailer anywhere in it, and the crew that loads in Seattle is the one that unloads at the far end.
Are pianos and gun safes something your movers handle?
Routinely. Tavon, who leads our crew, wraps and secures pianos, framed art, and gun safes, then rolls them out on dollies rated to the weight.
Is there any chance an outside carrier ends up with my move?
None. We're a Seattle mover with our own fleet and payroll crew, so no third party ever touches the job — first box to last, it stays ours.
02 Why us

Straight from our crew to your door

Hire our crew and every piece of the job answers to one roof — the truck in your driveway, the movers carrying your couch, and the company printed on the contract. A broker only resells your move to whatever carrier bids lowest, then steps away the moment the paperwork is signed.

TicTac Relocation
  • Trucks parked in our own yard, staffed by full-time movers we vetted and hired
  • A flat figure put down on paper up front, and that number is what you settle
  • Whoever carries your things out is who brings them back in at the new place
  • Bonded and insured on our own MC and US DOT authority, backed by a Washington WUTC permit
  • A single neighborhood office, and the same contact with you from the first call through the last box unloaded
A typical broker
  • Puts your move up for bid and pockets the gap when the cheapest hauler wins
  • A revised, higher price that only turns up once the truck arrives
  • Subcontracted hands you never spoke to touching everything you own
  • A shrug when you ask which company is really on the hook if something breaks
  • An offshore dispatch desk where a neighborhood moving crew should be
